Is Care 1st Arizona Medicaid? ›

Care1st Health Plan Arizona provides Medicaid services to families, children, seniors, and individuals with complex medical needs serving northern Arizona, including serving as the Regional Behavioral Health Authority and crisis system operator for northern Arizona.

Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan is an integrated health plan for members served by Arizona's Medicaid program, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). As an integrated plan, our health plan covers both your physical and behavioral health benefits.

On January 1, 2019, Care1st Health Plan will change its name to Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan. In 2015, Blue Shield of California bought Care1st Health Plan to help provide Californians access to high quality, affordable care.

Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is Arizona's Medicaid agency that offers health care programs to serve Arizona residents. Individuals must meet certain income and other requirements to obtain services.

Dual Eligible members have several options to receive Medicare services: D-SNP (D-Special Needs Plan) – a type of Medicare Advantage Plan contracted with AHCCCS that is available only to AHCCCS Dual Eligibles. D-SNP plans offer attractive supplemental benefits such as dental and vision.

Did you know AHCCCS covers eyeglasses and replacements for AHCCCS members who are under the age of 21? Vision services for all AHCCCS members under the age of 21 include regular eye exams and vision screenings, prescription eyeglasses, and repairs or replacements of broken or lost eyeglasses.
